Biochemistry

Biochemistry is the branch of science that explores the chemical processes and substances that occur within living organisms. It focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying biological phenomena, such as metabolism, cell signaling, and genetic expression. By studying the chemical properties and reactions of biological molecules, biochemistry encompasses the study of a wide range of molecules, including carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids, and small molecules such as vitamins and hormones. These molecules play crucial roles in various biological processes and are essential for the structure, function, and regulation of cells and organisms.

Our research focuses on the study and development of enzyme functions using genetic engineering techniques and bioinformatics. We aim to predict the mechanisms of enzymes of interest in order to accelerate reactions, develop biomaterials, and investigate the mechanisms of action of natural extract molecules for the development of novel anti-inflammatory drugs. Additionally, we also study the aging processes of living organisms.
